Volleyball is shutout by the Falcons

Friday night the Eastern Michigan volleyball team defeated by Bowling Green University in another Middle American Conference matchup that the Eagles have found themselves on the losing end.Following a string of recent losses the Eagles looked to draw energy from being back at home following a pair of hard fought matches on the road. Despite strong support from fans and vocal local youth volleyball team the Eagles would drop the match in three sets to the Falcons.








Eagles claim match in three straight sets against Western Michigan Volleyball

Eastern Michigan’s women’s volleyball team took to the court Nov. 3 at the Convocation Center for a matchup against in-state rival Western Michigan. Despite coming into the match with a worse record compared to the Broncos, Eastern took the match in a 3-0 sweep. The victory marks the 12th victory on the season for the Eagles and the fourth victory in-conference. 



Volleyball makes it to MAC tournament

After four straight wins, Eastern Michigan’s women’s volleyball team found themselves sneaking into the MAC tournament. The team managed to win their first round matchup against Buffalo, 3-1, before falling to Ohio in the following round with a score of 1-3. Coming into the tournament as the lowest seed, being able to upset Buffalo in the first round is more than enough to deem their tournament berth successful. 



Eagles defeat Chippewas on Senior Night

In its last home match of the season and on Senior Night the Eastern Michigan University volleyball team was host to instate conference rival Central Michigan University. The Eagles defeated the Chippewas and soared to a 3-0 (25-13, 25-22, 23-25, 25-20) victory to win another Mid-American Conference match. The Eagles improve to 20-8 overall and 8-5 in conference play.

Victoria Randolph spikes the ball Saturday against Western Michigan. She and fellow senior Kim Jarzynka played their final home match at the Convocation Center, but will continue their collegiate careers in the MAC tournament Tuesday.
