At the end of every high school semester, people would always talk about where they were traveling during break; but now that I am a college student, that topic has dramatically changed to dealing with scheduling and registering for classes instead. To be honest, when I was first admitted to EMU, I had no clue how to schedule or choose classes. No lie, it is not as easy as it seems, especially when just beginning as a freshman. As a freshman in college, I assure you that taking notes effectively is an incredibly valuable skill to be mastered. To be honest, I didn’t used to take notes but after figuring out the benefits of note taking I can't attend a single class without writing notes down. When I first came to Eastern Michigan University as a freshman, I knew nothing and no one! I didn’t even know that I needed textbooks until two days before the semester started. Not to mention, I was shocked when I found out that one of them cost $80! After realizing the expensive nature of textbooks, I soon learned the benefits of buying used textbooks instead. I am pretty sure that I will be purchasing used books the rest of my time in college and you should too!
