MAC Tournament Preview: EMU women’s basketball

The Eastern Michigan Women’s basketball team will be participating in the Mid-American Conference championship tournament on Monday, March 10 at the EMU Convocation Center. EMU will be the eighth seed in the tournament and will be competing against the ninth seed Northern Illinois University. If EMU wins this game, it will go to Cleveland’s Quicken Loans Arena for the second round of the MAC tournament.

Even with 18 wins to close out the regular season, Eastern Michigan University basketball finds itself in the same predicament as last year— having to win five games in six days. Last season, EMU came up two games short in the Mid-American Conference tournament as Western Michigan University advanced with a 70-55 win in the quarterfinal round. EMU women rally to defeat Ball State

The Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team rallied back from a seven-point deficit with 10:09 left to beat Ball State University 62-60 on Sunday.
