Three Eagles pick up MAC honors in football

While the Eastern Michigan football team struggled to a third straight 2-10 season, there were bright-spots amidst the gloom, as three players earned positions on the All-MAC list. Junior defensive lineman Pat O’Connor headlines as the lone Eagle to earn first-team honors.

Five things to take away from Eastern Michigan's 2-10 season

Instead of taking five things away from Eastern Michigan’s 52-16 loss Friday to the University of Toledo – because in all honesty there isn’t much to say that I haven’t already said at some point this season – I’m going to share my five takeaways from the team's 2-10 season in this, my final official column with the Echo.

The Eastern Michigan football team’s 52-16 loss to the University of Toledo Friday was Chris Creighton’s 10th loss of the season – finishing his first losing season as a collegiate football coach.

The Eastern Michigan football team took on the University of Toledo in the final game of the regular season Friday afternoon at Rynearson Stadium. At the half, the Eagles were down 42-9.

Strong winds damage Convocation Center awning

Part of the awning over the main entrance to the Convocation Center was blown off in the strong winds Monday. The main entrance to the building is closed until further notice. Debris has blown into Rynearson Stadium, but has not reached the football field.

The Eastern Michigan football team played the second of its Michigan MAC games Saturday against Western Michigan in Kalamazoo. The Eagles lost 51-7.

Creighton: 'That was not us out there today.'

For the second straight week, Eastern Michigan University football coach Chris Creighton watched his team lose a disappointing game in front of the home fans at Rynearson Stadium – this week 38-7 to Central Michigan University.

The Eastern Michigan football team wrapped up the rivalry weekend with Central Michigan University Saturday with a 38-7 loss to the Chippewas Saturday at Rynearson Stadium.





Eagles suffer first home loss of season, fall 28-17 to NIU

Eastern Michigan football coach Chris Creighton has endured difficult losses in his first season in Ypsilanti – while last week’s loss was what he called the “most difficult loss of the season”, the argument can be made that Saturday’s 28-17 loss to Northern Illinois University is the most disappointing.

The Eastern Michigan football team lost its first home game of the season Saturday, falling 28-17 to Northern Illinois University at Rynearson Stadium.

The latter playing host to Eagletainment's very own Queso Tone as a musical performance, with the shows closing act Anthony Roperti a former guest of the show.
