Opinion: Gary Peters has a lot of work to do before 2020

Sen. Gary Peters (D-Mich.) is up for reelection in 2020 and his first major competitor, John James, recently announced his candidacy. As a stronger-than-expected contender for U.S. Senate in 2018, Democrats are worried that the Michigan seat is now competitive.

Dark Phoenix: Film Review

Dark Phoenix is an all-powerful mutant character who also goes by the name Jean Grey. Some call the saga one of the best comic book series ever made. Having already attempted the storyline in the not-so-great “The Last Stand” with critical disapproval, imagine the hype when fans of the storyline discovered it would get a second chance, but this time with a younger set of characters.

MA: Movie Review

“Ma,” starring Octavia Spencer, is about a mysterious villain who opens her home to numerous teens after purchasing them alcohol at the local liquor store. But the situation soon turns into their worst nightmare.

Opinion: Straight pride is not happening

Heterosexual and cis-gendered people seem to be missing the point of pride month and instead insisting on a celebration of their own. In instances such as raising awareness of the struggles within a community, there are cases of being too inclusive.

Opinion: Michigan auto insurance reform a great first step

The changes to Michigan’s auto insurance should bring about tangible benefits to Michiganders. While there are some shortcomings of the law, it’s a good result considering the deadlock the legislature has faced for years while trying to pass reforms.
