Exhibit honors Betty Brown-Chappell

The Charles H. Wright Museum of African-American History, located at 315 E. Warren Ave. in Detroit, opened an exhibit for three days honoring a social worker, activist and Eastern Michigan University professor’s journey from poverty to success, as well as her family’s history spanning four generations.

Students hang ribbons in memory of fallen veterans

Student Veterans of America, a student group at Eastern Michigan University, placed 227 yellow ribbons around campus on Thursday to honor Michigan service members who were killed in action from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

EMU gains 17 new staff members

Freshmen and transfer students may feel like they are the only new faces on campus, but this fall also brought many new staff to Eastern Michigan University.
