Zumba with Kadesha & Teri - May 20
Join instructors Kadesha and Teri for a Zumba session in the dance studio of Riverside Arts Center. This class occurs weekly on Mondays from 6-6:55 p.m., with the first class attended being free of charge. Each class afterward costs $10 with a student ID or $15 without. There are also pass options that allow for the payment of multiple classes at once.
Southeast Michigan Stewardship Coalition - May 21
Head to Eastern's Student Center to witness environmental stewardship projects from over 250 students of Southeast Michigan. The project showcases are a part of the Southeast Michigan Stewardship Coalition's Annual Community Forum. These projects were completed using a place-based approach, with students' projects being intertwined with aspects of their communities. The event will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., and more information can be found on the Southeast Michigan Stewardship Coalition's website.
Depot Town Comedy Open Mic - May 22
Visit 734 Brewing Company for its weekly comedy open mic night. Hosted and emceed by Lisa Green, the event is free to attend and will run from 7:30-10:30 p.m.
Wake Up The Groove Concert Fundraiser - May 24
The Wake Up The Groove Concert is a fundraiser presented by John E. Lawrence. It is intended to support this year's John E. Lawrence Summer Jazz Series which will provide the community with free concerts throughout the summer, starting July 5. With special guests Randy Scott, LaShawn Gary, and Daryl Beebe, the fundraiser will take place from 7-9 p.m. at the Lincoln Consolidated Schools Performing Arts Theatre. Tickets cost $25 each and they can be purchased by using the QR code found on John E. Lawrence's website.
Ypsilanti Symphony Orchestra Memorial Weekend Concert - May 25
Celebrate Memorial Day this year with the Ypsilanti Symphony Orchestra as they perform their annual Memorial Day weekend concert "Pops in the Park!" at Riverside Park. The concert will begin at 2 p.m. and it is free to attend. If it rains on the scheduled day, the performance will be moved to May 26.
