Meet and Greet - Tuesday, July 15, 2025
The EMU Alumni Entrepreneur Chapter is hosting a meet and greet event on campus on July 15. EMU alumni business owners will be invited to tour the newly renovated recreational center during the event.
Participants can have a nostalgic visit to the campus and see old friends and colleagues.
This meeting is also an opportunity for EMU’s entrepreneurs to strengthen their professional networks and connect with more people in the local industries.
The Meet and Greet is a two-hour event from 5 to 7 p.m. at the REC/IM Building.

Rally in the Alley: Depot Town Cruise Night — Thursday, July 17, 2025
Another evening in the series of Rally in the Alley will be taking place on Thursday, July 17, 2025, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Every summer, Ypsilanti's Historic Depot Town heats up with classic cars for Cruise Nights.
The show is open to the public (no admission required) at E. Cross Street in Ypsilanti.
In addition to the three-hour car cruising, attendees can enjoy local stores, restaurants and other activities for children and adults.
Fun Fact: The Depot Town Cruise Night has been taking place on summer Thursdays since 1993.
Fired Up for the Community — Friday, July 18, 2025
On July 18 from 5 to 8 p.m., local nonprofit Growing Hope will host Fired up for the Community, a pizza event with wood-fired oven pizza made from fresh ingredients. Pizza lovers who want to meet new people from Ypsilanti are welcome to attend.
Attendees will also have the opportunity to tour Growing Hope's urban farm and see the local produce grown there.

Admission is free, but online registration is required, and donations are welcome.
Growing Hope is located at 922 W. Michigan Ave. in Ypsilanti.

Summer Sing Workshop — Saturday, July 19, 2025
Beyond Choir invites all experienced singers to participate in a five-hour singing event at Pease Auditorium, located at 494 College Place in Ypsilanti.
The agenda for the workshop has six parts:
- 5 to 5:30 p.m. – Check-in
- 5:30 to 6 p.m. – Warm up and initial run (Honors College Auditorium)
- 6 to 6:30 p.m. – Sectional (if needed)
- 6:30 - 6:45 p.m. – Break
- 6:45 - 7:35 p.m. – Rehearsal (Eastern Michigan University Honors College)
- 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. – Final run
Admission is required, and a regular singer ticket costs $10.
Ticket sales end on July 18 at 10 p.m.
Family and friends are welcome to join as audience members.
BIG3 Summer — Sunday, July 20, 2025
The Detroit Amps play live on July 20 at Little Caesars Arena against DMV-Trilogy.
The BIG3 summer game starts at 3 p.m.
