Virtual 7-Hour MHFA Certification – Aug. 13, 2025

According to the National Council for Mental Wellbeing, most people know what to do if they see someone having a physical health crisis, such as a heart attack; they know to administer CPR or call 911. However, not as many people would know how to help if they saw someone having a mental health crisis, such as a panic attack. In the same way that CPR training gives people the skills necessary to help someone having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid training equips people with the skills and tools they need to support someone going through a mental health challenge.

In this virtual course on Wednesday, Aug. 13 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., participants will receive MHFA training from a certified mental health professional. This training will give them the skills and tools they need to effectively recognize and support people experiencing mental health challenges. Participants will also earn a certification valid for three years, and all required books and materials are included in the admission cost. No prior experience is needed.

General admission costs $85 per individual participant. Those interested can register for the course on Eventbrite.com.
