YpsiTasty — Sept. 29
YpsiTasty is a celebration that showcases the diversity of Ypsilanti’s restaurants and supports local retail businesses. Attendees can venture into downtown Ypsilanti to try different foods and shops. Whether attendees have lived in Ypsilanti all their lives or are visiting for the first time, YpsiTasty is open to anyone who wishes to experience the variety of places and meals that Ypsi has to offer.
Those interested can purchase tickets on the YpsiTasty page on the a2ychamber website. General admission is $25 per ticket. Tickets come with a detailed map and guide, some shopping deals and an automatic entry to win prizes. YpsiTasty will run 4-8 p.m. in downtown Ypsilanti.
Disability Awareness Workshop — Sept. 30
From 11 a.m. until noon in Room 201 of the Marshall Building, students can attend the Disability Awareness Workshop, where they will learn how to use the Disability Resource Center, explore ways to communicate with professors about accommodations and discover other helpful tools on campus. Lunch will be provided.

Saturn: Jewel of the Heavens — Oct. 1
The EMU Planetarium is giving students the opportunity to observe Saturn. Students will have access to an in-depth look at Saturn, exploring its rings and many of its moons.
This event will take place in the Mark Jefferson Science Complex from 8-9 p.m. in Room 402.

Ypsiween and Freak Fest — Oct. 2
Presented by First Fridays, Ypsilanti's favorite haunts will bring the thrills with art, music, food and performances in the city.
Attendees can catch the spooky fun at two street festivals on Washington Street at Michigan Avenue, featuring both Freak Fest on South Washington and Ypsiween on North Washington.
The festivals are 5-10 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2.
First Friday Food Court — Oct. 2
First Friday Food Court is a reoccurring, monthly event which features local food vendors, music, chalk art, free board games and family-friendly activities. The event will be at the Ypsilanti Farmers Marketplace, hosted by Growing Hope.
From 5-7:30 p.m., all are welcome to attend this free event at 16 S. Washington St., Ypsilanti.
Cultural Expo! — Oct. 3
As part of EMU's Weeks of Welcome, Cultural Expo! will take place 5-9 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom. The Weeks of Welcome website describes this event as a celebration where students can share their cultures through interactive tables, workshops, cultural cuisines and live performances.
Students can attend for free and will have the opportunity to win socks. Students are encouraged to bring their friends and experience other aspects of the world.

Crystal Skull Studio 10 Years of Shear Terror — Oct. 4
To celebrate 10 years of "shear terror," as described on the hair salon Crystal Skull Studio's Instagram page, there will be a celebration from 4-8 p.m. There will be raffles for T-shirts, services and hair products, and there will also be snacks and drinks. There will be a live DJ set from Jerry Downey Jr., in addition to tarot readings with Faye. Guests are encouraged to wear spooky attire.

Plant Families Workshop — Oct. 5
From 5-7 p.m. at the Growing Hope Urban Farm, located at 922 W. Michigan Ave., Ypsilanti, people of all ages can learn about some of the common plant families that surround them. Attendees will be able to identify characteristics of the plant families and how knowing more about the plant families relates to the food we eat.
