The Eastern Michigan University Eagles defeated the Western Michigan Broncos on Feb. 15 in Kalamazoo, Michigan by a score of 83-56.

Tavelyn James was the leading scorer for the Eagles with 30 points. Natachia Watkins was right behind James with 20 points and eight rebounds. Olivia Fouty scored 13 points and grabbed 15 total rebounds for the Eagles. Paige Redditt chipped in with eight points and six rebounds.

Rachel Adaline was the top scorer for the Broncos with 14 points. She also hauled down seven rebounds. Maria Iaquaniello knocked down eight points and pulled down three rebounds. Aurielle Anderson scored seven points and grabbed four rebounds.

The Eagles shot 50 percent from the field goal range. The Broncos shot 28.8 percent from that range. During the first half, the Broncos were only able to score 20.6 percent while the Eagles were shooting 45 percent.

The Eagles travel next to Illinois to take on Northern Illinois at 2 p.m.on Feb. 18.
