Eastern Michigan University holds memorial in honor of the twenty year anniversary of 9/11

Eastern Michigan University held it’s annual 9/11 Ceremony of Remembrance on Saturday morning at Pease Park, dedicating a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m., marking the time the first plane struck New York’s World Trade Center.

The EMU 9/11 Memorial features a 7,000 lb. steel beam from the World Trade Center. Markings on it indicate it is from the 74th floor of the South Tower -- four floors below where the second plane hit.
