EMU Women's Basketball Vs. Ohio (Senior Night) 3/4/26

The Eastern Michigan University women's basketball team fought hard, but fell to the Ohio Bobcats in the George Gervin GameAbove Center on the evening of Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Only outscored by 8 points, the Eagles stood their ground on Senior Night, which honored those on the team who are graduating in the spring.

JoyFest Winter 2026

Room 100 of the Porter College of Education building transformed into a wonderful place of celebration Feb. 18, 2026. Students gathered for JoyFest, an event designed to "offer a welcoming space to relax, connect, and recharge." Women's Lacrosse vs. Lindenwood 2/11/26

At Eastern Michigan's University indoor facility, also known as "The Bubble", Eastern Michigan's lacrosse team overpowered Lindenwood 14-11 on Feb. 11, 2026. The victory put the Eastern Michigan Eagles at a 2-1 record.

The Campus Parking Listening Session, led by Chief Lige, covered some of the most pressing questions students had about the new parking changes on campus. Chief Lige highlighted current changes and plans for the future with the new change in campus parking at this Feb. 4th event.

Sexapalooza 2026

An afternoon of fun, food and learning took place Jan. 28, 2026, in the ballroom of the Student Center. Student participants ventured around the booths set up by local sex education and sexual health service providers. Among those were The Corner, Reset, Planned Parenthood of Michigan, the EMU Women's Resource Center, Rise, Vivent Health and the Washtenaw County Health Department. The event was the collective efforts of the Multicultural Greek Council, the Women’s Resource Center and Campus Life.Wendy Pulido Rodriguez, vice president of internal affairs of the MGC and major organizer of the event, said that she was very happy with the turnout of the event and hoped to hold it again with even more booths and guests.(Music Credit: Small Steps, Mr. Smith, Free Music Archive, CC BY)

Tour the EMU Greenhouse

Eastern Michigan University's greenhouse, adjacent to the Mark Jefferson Science complex, is part of the terrestrial and aquatic ecology research facility on campus. Bradley Cross, the greenhouse's plant care technician, leads visitors on a tour of the facility Dec. 10, 2025. The greenhouse serves as a place for biology and plant anatomy student to practice their skills, and for students and faculty to carry out research. The greenhouse also is open to visitors.

Winter 2025 Commencement Ceremony

On Sunday, December 14, 2025, the fall semester wraps up with the Winter Commencement. The ceremony begins with a welcome from the Board of Regents Chair, Nathan Ford. The welcome is shortly followed by Grant Camden with the national anthem, along with messages from John F. Bodary, the President and Owner of Woods Construction, Inc., and other notable speakers before degrees and certificates are awarded.

EMU Cello Studio Fall Recital 2025

The EMU Cello Studio Recital took place in the Alexander Music Building Recital Hall on Dec. 11, 2025. The event featured the Cello Ensemble and individual cello performances as well as pieces with piano accompaniment. Alannis Barber, Anna Cole, Jennifer George, Lauryn Hightower, and Rose Kilburn performed during the recital, accompanied by Ben Luczak, Dominik Pederson, and Garrett Sly on the piano. The night was filled with the wonderful symphonies of works by Chopin, Bach, Schubert, and many more.

EMU Brehm Center Symposium 2025

The Brehm Center Symposium 2025 took place on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025 in Room 310 of the Student Center. The event honored the selected 2025-26 recipients of the Delores S. Brehm Endowed Scholarship in Special Education, which supports those students for one year in each of the academic programs within the Department of Special Education. "Scholarship recipients exemplify outstanding pre-professional skills in the field of special education coupled with a commitment to serve children, adolescents and adults with special needs and/or communication disorders/speech and language impairments." Eastern Michigan University Vs. NJIT Basketball 11/28/25

Eastern Michigan men's basketball conquered the NJIT Highlanders on Friday, Nov. 28, 2025. EMU won with 73 points over NJIT's 55 in the George Gervin GameAbove Center. The win marks the fifth victory for the Eagles this season.

Ypsi Cocktail Club hosts tarot Tuesday event

The Ypsi Cocktail Club, at the intersection of North Huron and West Michigan Avenue, hosts the second in a series of "Tarot Nights" started by general manager Megumi Mast. The bar, which Mast says doubles as a tasting room for the Ann Arbor Distilling Company, hosts tarot reader Lex Noble in a partnership that allows customers of Noble's service to get half off their cocktail purchase with each reading.

Eastern Michigan University men's basketball defeated Oakland University on Friday, Nov. 21, 2025. The Eagles overwhelmed the Grizzlies 97-91 in the George Gervin GameAbove Center, collecting their third win of the season.

Same Page : Loading Player 2 Event

Same Page: Loading Player 2 took place in Room 310 of the Student Center on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2025. The organizer, Same Page, put on the event to encourage and foster healthy relationships between students at Eastern Michigan University. The night involved games, food, fun, and friends as students moved between different gaming areas. Students first started in a group setting and moved their way down to one-on-one games with their new potential friend. Students who completed the final gaming stage were allowed to pick an item from the prize table. Same Page was excited to put on the event again after the success they saw at the previous event last March, and was pleased to see how many students showed up for the event on Tuesday.

Eastern Michigan's women's volleyball team went up against the 17-9 Ball State University team on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025, falling to the Cardinals 3-0.

Pumpkins on the Patio took place on Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2025 outside and inside the Student Center! Campus Life, E|Dining, and the EMU Student Center put together an evening of fall fun with food, pumpkin carving, and even a costume contest!

Knight of Mystery

Hosted by EMU Campus Life, EMU LGBTRC, E|Dining, and Dreadnoughts Tabletop Games, Knight of Mystery took place on Tuesday, Oct. 21, 2025 in Room 310 of the Eastern Michigan University Student Center. Students enjoyed a night of fantasy with medieval costumes representing the students' choice of one of the four kingdoms in attendance. The dinner for the royal wedding evolved into solving a murder mystery!

Ypsilanti No Kings Protest

Ypsilanti's No Kings Protest took place Saturday, Oct. 18, 2025, just outside of Depot Town. Protestors gathered at Riverside Park and then marched down West Cross Street and around the block. This video shows what took place before and during the protest.

Peacenic 2025 Video

The second annual Peacenic returned to Ypsilanti on June 7, 2025, featuring a live band, dancing, food, games, giveaways, vendors and more. Peacenic is an event curated by the Rev. Joseph Jackson, a Baptist minister and the founder of Peacenic. The project is designed to foster unity between the Ypsilanti community and law enforcement.

A Great Day in Ypsi

On Saturday, May 3, 2025, YpsiWrites held a photo opportunity at the newly reopened Michigan Avenue branch of the Ypsilanti District Library. The photo was inspired by A Great Day in Harlem by Art Kane and served as an opportunity for the Ypsilanti community to get together.
