On Sept. 18, there will be a free training for all EMU students and employees on how to use naloxone medication, better known under the brand name Narcan, which is used to help reverse opioid overdoses.Narcan has been available on campus since April, 2024. The medication is located in AED boxes found around various buildings and places around campus. This is not the first of the trainings on the use of Narcan.“We have done it at least ten times now, and I know that there are several sessions to continue going on this fall,” Frank Schaller, associate director for undergraduate nursing studies and associate professor, said.

Ypsilanti has a mini golf course in the form of Putterz, but it can be a little bit out of the way to go for a college student. To solve this, there's one mini golf course and arcade that is a lot closer to campus.
