The first floor of the Student Center was filled with laughter as students participated in a spontaneous set up of games. A performing arts class put on this event in order to explore performance art in the form of a game.
Students worked together to prepare a healthy breakfast and learn about nutrition with the Office of Nutrition Services on Tuesday.
The Women’s Resource Center has opened nominations for the Women of Excellence Luncheon. The deadline to nominate a female faculty or staff member or student is 5 p.m. on March 18.
Eastern Michigan University’s Student Government continued its dysfunction over the course of winter recess. Impeachment resolutions were filed against student government president Desmond Miller and senators William McDonald and Joseph Pernicano.

As classes wind down for the week, mid-winter break is on the horizon. The Echo asked students: “What are your plans for the break?”
“Well, my birthday is that weekend, so I’m going to go to a concert and spend time with my family because I haven’t been home in a while.”
“I intend to help with the upcoming student body elections and try to help with the campaigns of several senators and several candidates for president. I’ve been getting signatures, approaching students and informing them about the upcoming elections and I’m going to continue that over the break, even though no one will be here. So, God knows how I’ll do it. But that’s one thing I intend to keep working on.
“I’m going home, working and doing homework.”
“As far as spring break, I plan on going home, catching up on some homework and sleeping.”
“I haven’t really thought much about it. I know it needs a lot of rest and recuperation. The semester’s been trying. I took some heavy classes, but I think rest and relaxation is the only way to go – sleep.
