This will be his first year playing for EMU after transferring during his sophomore year from Savannah State University, a small school in Georgia with less than 5,000 students, where he played his freshman year.
Eastern Michigan University junior and co-captain, Alyssa Kwon, withstood a very competitive field at the par 71, 6, 112 yard Wolverine Invitational at the U-M Golf Course this past weekend. Kwon, along with Alicia Weber from Michigan and Meghan MacLaren from Florida International, shot an overall score of 227 to finish in a tie for first place in the individual part of the tournament.
The middle of September on Eastern Michigan University’s campus means the men’s golf team is teeing off for another exciting season.

Eastern Michigan women’s golf team won the Cardinal Classic this past weekend in Yorktown, Ind. It shot 591 (298-293). Host Ball State finished second (598). Freshman Emily Podzielinski won the individual title with a 3-under 141 (72-69).
