On Friday, the Eastern Michigan University Advising and Career Development Center hosted an IT job fair in the Student Center. Representatives from 10 different companies set up individual stations in room 310 of the EMU Student Center. Students spoke with each of the representatives in an interview-like format.

Serving 29 terms in the United States House of Representatives makes him the House’s longest serving member. He was born in Colorado Springs, Colo. and now lives in Dearborn, Mich. Dingell, 86, was a part of the United States army from 1944 to 1946, spending time in Japan fighting World War II.
The Eastern Michigan University political science department hosted a mock presidential debate in the ballroom of the Student Center Oct. 22.
After the first presidential debate between President Barack Obama and Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, the focus of the nation was to see how the debate affected both candidates in their campaigns. CNN polled likely voters before the debate and found that 56 percent predicted the president to be the winner. Following the debate, their polls showed that 67 percent named Romney the victor with 25 percent feeling Obama won.
As the presidential debate began in Denver, Colo. Oct. 3, roughly 60 Eastern Michigan University students packed the Walton/Putnam lounge to watch. Similar to the national reaction to the debate, a majority of students were surprised at the outcome.
