EMU football team prepares for a big win against CMU

The time has finally come. It’s rivalry week in Ypsilanti as the Central Michigan Chippewas (3-6 overall, 1-4 Mid-American Conference) come to town to take on the Eastern Michigan University Eagles (1-8 overall, 0-5 MAC), who are the reigning Michigan MAC football champions after beating CMU and Western Michigan University last season.

EMU football to face Ohio Bobcats Thursday night

After their offense hit a speed bump at Bowling Green State University, the Eastern Michigan University Eagles football team (1-7 overall, 0-4 Mid-American Conference) has a Thursday, Nov. 1 game in Athens, Ohio against the Ohio Bobcats (7-1 overall, 3-1 MAC).


Batch works to cut dropouts

In an attempt to cut high school dropout rates in half before 2018, former Eastern Michigan University quarterback Charlie Batch, who now plays for the Pittsburgh Steelers, teamed up with the United Way’s Team NFL. Batch has been the Team NFL representative for the Steelers since 2006 and is committed to educational opportunities.

Shelter teams up with EMU football

During the upcoming Nov. 10 football game against Central Michigan University, the Shelter Association of Washtenaw County is teaming up with Eastern Michigan University’s football team in a text-to-donate program, which will allow free entry into the game. By texting “HOME” to 20222 (messaging and data rates may apply), you will donate $10 to the Shelter Association, a program dedicated to ending homelessness in the county.


Eagles offense offensively bad at BGSU

The Eastern Michigan University football team (1-7 overall, 0-4 Mid-American Conference) came up short against the Bowling Green State University Falcons (6-3, 4-1 MAC) with a final score of 24-3.

A victory at last! After seven weeks of the regular season, the Eastern Michigan University football team defeated the Army Black Knights 48-38 for their first win of the 2012 campaign.

Eagles football loses to UT, Hill impresses in first start

Bronson Hill had a memorable game to remember Oct. 13 when he ran for 283 yards and four touchdowns in his first career start for the Eastern Michigan University Eagles. Unfortunately, it wasn’t enough for the Eagles, as the Toledo Rockets came away with a 52-47 shootout victory at Rynearson Stadium.

Fans think Johnson can overcome curse

Superstition and sports have gone hand in hand for years with fans. Some fans always wear the same hat, some wear their socks inside out, but there is nothing more infamous in football fan legend than the “Madden Curse.”

EMU plays hard, comes up short against MSU

The Eastern Michigan football team played its best game of the season so far, but still came up short losing 23-7 to the 21st ranked Michigan State Spartans (3-1). The Eagles had a 7-3 lead going into the half, but were unable to score a point after halftime as the team wasn’t able to keep up with the Spartan’s offense. MSU was held to a field goal in the first half as the Eagles’ defense looked prepared for the game after an embarrassing loss to Purdue Sept.
