Prop 4 would create registry to link seniors, disabled with home healthcare workers

Eastern Michigan University students had the opportunity Oct. 10 to hear people speak on Proposal 4. The purpose of the proposal is to create a registry that will link seniors and people with disabilities with pre-screened, certified and trained home healthcare workers, as well as provide financial services to patients to manage the cost of in-home care.

Collective bargaining on this year’s ballot

Michigan residents will be voting whether or not to approve Proposal 2, the so-called Protect Our Jobs amendment, on the Nov. 6 ballot. Proposal 2 would add the right to collectively bargain, for both public and private sector employees, to the state constitution.

Eastern Michigan University’s Student Center Auditorium was filled with about 20 students Oct. 11 for the first and only vice presidential debate between current Vice President Joe Biden and vice presidential candidate Paul Ryan.

Proposal 6 details revealed to students

Eastern Michigan University held the Statewide Ballot Informative Forum Oct. 9 in the Halle Library Auditorium to answer students’ questions and give details on the plans and development of Proposal 6, which if passed would require voters to approve any new bridge or tunnel from Michigan to Canada.
