It is no easy task to balance playing sports and academics, but 32 Eastern Michigan University student-athletes achieved both and then some by finishing the Fall 2013 semester with a 4.0 grade point average.

Women’s rowing loses to 2 teams in New York

The Eastern Michigan University women’s rowing team fell short in New York when it took on the University of New York at Buffalo Bulls and the Boston University Terriers Saturday for the Harvey Cup on Tonawanda Creek.

The Eastern Michigan University women’s rowing team spent its winter break in Clemson, S.C., kicking off the spring season with a week-long training session and competition March 9 on Lake Hartwell against Clemson and Duke universities.

Novice 4 places 2nd in Tennessee regatta

Eastern Michigan University’s women’s rowing team boat novice 4 earned second place in the event at the country’s second largest regatta, the Head of the Hooch, in downtown Chattanooga, Tenn. Nov. 3 – 4.
