Ball State University Cardinals 38, Western Michigan University Broncos 17 Senior quarterback Keith Wenning passed for 324 yards and three touchdowns to lead Ball State to victory.

Three Eagles make it into round 32 singles

The Eastern Michigan University women’s tennis team had three athletes represent the round of 32 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Midwest Regional at the University of Michigan this past weekend.



EMU offense needs to ignite to beat Ohio

Bronson Hill’s 234 all-purpose yards in last week’s loss at Army were the most by an Eagle this season. Eastern Michigan University (1-5, 0-2 Mid-American Conference) will look for its junior running back to lead the offense in Saturday’s matchup against the Ohio University Bobcats (4-2, 1-1 MAC) at Rynearson Stadium at 1 p.m.



Disputed overtime goal leads to loss vs. Miami

A controversial goal in double overtime spelled doom for the Eastern Michigan University soccer team, as they were bested by the Miami University RedHawks 1-0 at Scicluna Field. Miami senior midfielder Kayla Zakrzewski found the net with 1:18 remaining in the second overtime to give them the victory.


Everson acts as traditional leader in pool

No matter if he is exhausted in the pool, senior swimmer and co-captain Gus Everson is willing to give his all for the team. All of this in hopes of setting a good example for his teammates on the Eastern Michigan University men’s swimming team with the goal of another Mid-American Conference championship banner hanging from the ceiling of Jones Natatorium.

BSU snaps EMU’s streak

The Eastern Michigan University women’s soccer team fell for the first time in conference play, losing to Ball State University 1-0 on Oct. 11 at Scicluna Field. The loss also snapped Eastern’s six-game winning streak.


Central Michigan sweeps Eagles

The Eastern Michigan University women’s volleyball team returned to the Convocation Center Thursday night to host the Central Michigan Chippewas. Central Michigan (8-9, 2-3 Mid-Amercan Conference) swept EMU (11-9, 1-4 MAC) in three sets (25-22, 25-20, 25-21). Eastern has lost four of their last five matches.



Cross-country wins MIC at Hillsdale

Eastern Michigan University’s men’s cross-country team took part in the Michigan Intercollegiate Championships at Hillsdale College’s Hayden Park on Friday, Oct. 11.


Women’s volleyball team falls in four sets

·

The Eastern Michigan University women’s volleyball team couldn’t pull off the upset against No. 18 Ohio University Saturday night at the Convocation Center as they fell in four sets (25-23, 25-7, 21-25, 25-14). No. 18 Ohio (15-3, 5-1 MAC) took the match three sets to one over Eastern Michigan (11-10, 1-5 MAC).
