Roundup: Women's golf wins tournament

Eastern Michigan women’s golf team won the Cardinal Classic this past weekend in Yorktown, Ind. It shot 591 (298-293). Host Ball State finished second (598). Freshman Emily Podzielinski won the individual title with a 3-under 141 (72-69).

Calka wins in dual meet
Freshman Courtney Calka won the George Dales Invitational in Three Rivers. She completed the 6K cross-country race in 21:49.26. As a team, Eastern finished second to Western Michigan by two points in the dual. Rachel Hollinger-Janzen (22:50.20) and Rachel Quintance finished fourth and fifth (22:59).

Volleyball swept
EMU lost its three volleyball matches in the DePault tournament over the weekend. It lost to DePaul, Sacremento State and Western Kentucky. All the scores were 3-1.
