Police department investigates assault on Emmett Street
The Ypsilanti police are investigating an armed robbery assault that took place at 10:45 a.m. June 23 on Emmett Street.
The victim said she was walking eastbound on Emmett Street when she was punched by one of the suspects according to EMU informational release.

According to the victim, one of the suspects grabbed her arm and held it behind her back while the second suspect threatened her with a knife. The suspects searched her pockets and stole personal property. She suffered minor injuries.
The victim is not an EMU student.
One man was described as black, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 180 pounds and with a goatee. He was wearing a black, white and yellow jersey and dark jeans.
The other suspect was described as black, 6 feet tall, 200 pounds and in his early 20s. He was wearing a black T-shirt, dark jeans and white shoes.
