Pipe damages Halle Library

Halle Library was closed for most of Monday and all of Tuesday after a water return pipe broke from its supports and fell from the basement ceiling, triggering the sprinkler system on its way down.

As of Wednesday, floors one through three were re-opened. However, the basement floor will likely remain closed for a month, according to Executive Director of Media Relations Geoff Larcom.

During the month of repairs, Halle’s Eagle Cafe will be closed and anyone needing to consult with interlibrary loan staff must go to the periodicals service desk on Halle’s second floor.

The Holman Success Center, its offices being in Halle’s basement, will be utilizing temporary spaces for its appointments. Coaches will be emailing their students with meeting information. Anyone interested in finding a tutor through the Center should visit the Study Fixx, or contact the Center through its website.
