01049 -- EMU Echo Editor Endowed Scholarship:  Provides financial support for the current EMU Echo Editor.

02414 -- Scott Stephenson Eastern Echo Scholarship:  This expendable scholarship is for the benefit of student(s) in the School of Communication, Media & Theater Arts in the College of Arts & Sciences.  It will be awarded to a full or part-time junior or senior EMU student majoring in journalism and working for the Eastern Echo.  The student should be working to self-finance their education and not be eligible for need-based grants.

00825 -- Student Media Development:  Provides support for the Student Media program.

Eastern Michigan University kicked off advising week in Halle Library Monday afternoon with an Academic Advising and Career Development Center booth run by people from both the academia and employment sections. These representatives were on hand to teach students how to set up appointments for the center, discuss the “dos” and “don’ts” of resumes and talk about interviewing skills.

The preliminary hearing for Kristopher Pratt, 20 and Ed Thomas, 20, two men accused of killing Eastern Michigan University football player Demarius Reed was scheduled for today, Wednesday Jan. 29 at 2 p.m. in the 14A-1 District Court in Pittsfield Township.
