Former EMU Professor Dies—
James William Gousseff, who retired as an emeritus professor of communication and theatre arts in 1998 and served at Eastern Michigan University since 1963 when he joined the faculty, died on Saturday, Jan. 25. He was 85 years old.
There will be an open house to celebrate his life at the Ladies’ Literary Club in Ypsilanti. The event will be held on Saturday, March 15 from 3-5 p.m.
Porter Chair Speaker Series—
EMU’s College of Education is presenting the John W. Porter Distinguished Chair in Urban Education 2013-2014 Speaker Series entitled, “Reach, Teach and Inspire.”
Guest speaker Collen Weick will present a lecture on Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 9:30-11 a.m. in room 310 at Eastern Michigan University’s Student Center.
Abortion Discussion—
A panel discussion about abortion will be presented by Eastern Michigan University’s Students for Life and Catholics on Campus.
The event will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 6:30-9 p.m. in room G03 at Halle Library on EMU’s campus.
