Huskies put up 35 in first half, win 49-21

Northern Illinois University had a pair of rushers surpass the century-mark in the Huskies 49-21 win over Eastern Michigan University Saturday afternoon. In the first half NIU, shutout the Eastern Michigan offense, while scoring 35 first half points.

The Northern Illinois University Huskies are what many people would call the turning-point program of the Mid-American Conference. In the 2012-13 college football season, the Huskies did the unthinkable and made it to the Discover Orange Bowl. Many non power-five conference schools dream of making a bowl as prestigious as that, but very rarely do they get to experience one.

Eagles fall to Toledo, 63-20

Eastern Michigan University football had a difficult time defensively stopping the undefeated and nationally ranked University of Toledo Rockets, falling 63-20 for the Eagles fifth straight loss.



Previewing Toledo: Eagles head to Glass Bowl

Following a 47-21 loss to the University of Akron, the Eastern Michigan University Eagles (1-5, 0-2) will head to the Glass Bowl to take on the undefeated and nationally ranked University of Toledo Rockets (5-0, 2-0). Matt Campbell, who is in his fourth year as the head coach at Toledo, has compiled one of the more impressive resumes in the Mid-American Conference, having a career record of 31-13 as a head coach.

The last time Eastern Michigan quarterback Brogan Roback returned to his hometown, he threw his first touchdown of his college career as a true freshman against the University of Toledo Rockets on Nov. 2, 2013.

Eagles fall to Zips on homecoming, 47-21

The Eastern Michigan University football team took a disappointing loss against Mid-American Conference foe, the University of Akron, losing 47-21 at Rynearson Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Eagles now fall to 1-5 on the season and hold a record of 0-2 in the MAC.
