Eagles bounce back with home win

The Eastern Michigan Eagles (7-1) defeated the Valparaiso Crusaders, 85-79, on Tuesday, Dec. 3 at the Convocation Center. The Eagles were led by Ty Groce’s 23 points, five rebounds and two assists. Noah Morgan added 21 points as well. Javon Freeman had a game-high 28 points and five rebounds for Valparaiso in the loss.

EMU women’s basketball falls to Wolverines

The Eastern Michigan Eagles (2-4) women’s basketball team fell to the Michigan Wolverines (5-1) on Wednesday, Nov. 27 at the Convocation Center. EMU got off to a slow start as they shot just 15.4% percent in the first quarter and weren’t able to recover as they fell 57-38. Natalia Pineda led the Eagles with 16 points and two rebounds.

Stanley leads EMU to second home victory

The Eastern Michigan Eagles (2-2) women’s basketball team earned their second win of the season as they moved to 2-0 at the Convocation Center this year. The Eagles defeated Southeast Missouri State, 69-64, on Tuesday, Nov. 19 in Ypsilanti. EMU was led by freshman guard Aaliyah Stanley’s 24 points, four rebounds and two steals.

EMU men's basketball heads to Jamaica

EMU men's basketball (4-0) travels to Montego, Jamaica to play the University of Maryland Baltimore County (4-1) on Friday. The teams will play at the Montego Bay Convention Centre as part of the Jersey Mike's Jamaica Classic, broadcasted on the CBS Sports Network at 2 p.m.

EMU volleyball drops must-win match against Ball State

The Eastern Michigan women’s volleyball team suffered a loss to Ball State on Friday, Nov. 15. It was a crucial loss as the Eagles were looking for a spot in the 2019 MAC Tournament. Eastern Michigan was on the road in Muncie, Indiana, the home of the Cardinals, and EMU left Worthen Arena with a 3-1 loss.

Eagles remain undefeated with road upset

The Eastern Michigan Eagles (4-0) men’s basketball team is undefeated through four games for the second time in three years after doing so at the beginning of the 2017-18 season. The Eagles upset North Texas (1-3) on Saturday, Nov. 16 at the University of North Texas Coliseum behind Ty Groce’s game-high 15 points.

Eagles football team offers running back Daveon Hunter

Daveon Hunter, who is a 3-star running back according to 247 Sports, was offered a scholarship from the Eastern Michigan football program on Monday, Nov. 11. The senior running back is 5’10” and 200 pounds. He attends Chandler High School in Arizona and is slated to graduate at the end of the current school year.

Rob Murphy discusses recently released book

Eastern Michigan men’s basketball head coach Rob Murphy, who just started his ninth season with the Eagles, released his first book over the summer. The book “DEEP” is Murphy’s lifelong story through his eyes. Murphy discusses growing up in Detroit, getting his “dream job” at Syracuse University, learning life lessons through basketball and much more.

The Eagles run over Goshen behind Groce’s career-high 19 points, five rebounds

The Eastern Michigan Eagles (2-0) men’s basketball team earned their second victory of the season as they took down the Goshen Maple Leafs (3-4), 101-49 on Tuesday, Nov. 12 at the Convocation Center. The Eagles were led by Ty Groce, who had a career-high 19 points. Chris Barnes added 16 points, five steals and one assist in the victory.

The latter playing host to Eagletainment's very own Queso Tone as a musical performance, with the shows closing act Anthony Roperti a former guest of the show.
