Srishti Dances of India is presenting a night full of fun

Srishti Dances of India is presenting a night full of world dance and music called the Dance Dialogues on Saturday. The event will feature Sreyashi Dey and Srishti Dances of India, Dave Sharp Worlds Trio featuring Elden Kelly & Carolyn Koebel, Christina Sears Etter, and the People Dancing Company.

The performances will begin at 7 p.m. at the Towsley Auditorium at the Washtenaw Community College. Tickets cost $15 per person and $42 for families consisting of three or more.

The event will include performances by Plus Ultra, Along the Saffron Road, the Gathering and Srishti Dances of India.

Plus Ultra will be performing a quartet dance they premiered in 2006, and a dramatic exposition on family dynamics. Along the Saffron Road will be performing a dance inspired by the history and cultivation of saffron. The Gathering will be performing a dance dialogue inspired by the Odissi Classical Indian Dance and from Contemporary Modern Dance.

The People Dancing Company has had its share of successful events that have been written about on major platforms such as the Heritage Papers, New York Times and the Ann Arbor News.

Heritage Papers expressed that PDC presents a dazzling display of the human form in motion. The New York Times said that they embody offbeat, quirky theatricality and the Ann Arbor News gushed about the ethereal beauty of their talents.

Given the company’s history of creatively communicating through dance, the event should elude nothing short of anticipation and excitement.
