The EMU men’s cross country team competed in the Spartan Invitation Friday Sept. 18. Facing their toughest competition of the year, the Eagles were led by Abel Flores, who ran a time of 25:53 and finished in 35th place.

Mitch Lenneman finished 67th with a time of 26:40 and Cameron Trinh came in third for the Eagles, getting 89th place with a time of 27:01.

The Eagles also had freshman Morgan O’Flaharty, sophomore Nick McFairland, and Brendan Utz, who all finished within ten seconds of each other; finishing 101st, 104th, and 112th, respectively. The Eagles have continued their theme of breaking in freshmen, and building up returners.

The Eagles will have a break before heading out to compete in the Notre Dame Invitational Friday, Oct. 2.
