A couple of Eastern Michigan football players received All-MAC honors for the 2015 season as it was announced Wednesday, Dec. 2 that senior linebacker Great Ibe had been named second team All-MAC and senior running back Darius Jackson had been named third team All-MAC.

The Philadelphia, Pa., native, Great Ibe ended his career at EMU with 131 tackles as a middle-linebacker for the Eagles defense, which was the most in the Mid-American Conference. Ibe compiled 69 solo tackles, which leaves him at 15th in the Eastern Michigan record books.

Ibe had a career high game against UMass this season that the nation took notice to, having had 21 tackles, two for a loss of yards, and a sack. Ibe was named the MAC West defensive player of the week as well as the Walter Camp Foundation National Defensive Player of the Week.

A Sparta, Ill., native, Darius Jackson led EMU’s rushing attack this season going for over 1,000-yards on the ground, being the 13th player to ever do so in EMU history. Jackson also caught for 201-yards this season along with a pair of receiving touchdowns, giving him the most touchdowns scored by any player in a single-season at EMU with 16.

Jackson finished second in the MAC in total rushing yards, only behind Northern Illinois’ Joel Bouagnon who carried for 1,212. Jackson’s career high game came against Army in week four, having 141-yards and a pair of touchdowns.
