Creative drinks to stay caffeinated this season

A dry palate can wreak havoc on all those lofty New Year resolutions. Let’s keep our esteem high with steamy beverages.

Aromas of Bengali black tea, unexpected chocolate alohas for a Napali Brew, indecisión in the form of Lemon or Raspberry Ginger tea… hot or iced? You can find these at Sweetwaters Café in Ypsilanti.

As scholars, we are expected to be responsible with our caffeinating. That being said, doesn’t it feel much better to have coffee that aligns with your vision for sustainable coffee chains?

Caffeinate with these Central and South American coffees: Huey Huey Tanango and Inza/Paez from Guatemala and Colombia respectively.

Ugly Mug is another Ypsilanti coffee shop that prides itself on responsible coffee sourcing, providing unique flavors, art and maintaining a consistent chill vibe.

If DIY is more of your vibe, then try coffee creamer in your hot chocolate or even a scoop of mint chocolate chip ice cream for a minty hot cocoa float.

Lemonade, heat and honey for the flu season is a great example of forgoing daytime cough syrup for a sip of something new.
