The no. 27 ranked Eastern Michigan men’s cross country team finished its regular season on a high note at the EMU Fall Classic in Dexter on Friday.
Of the six racers who competed, Eastern Michigan had five runners finish in the top-50, with freshman Colin Burdette setting the pace and crossing the finish line first for the Eagles with a time of 16:07.9 and finishing 25th overall.
Next followed Morgan O’Flahrity who ran for a time of 16:14.3 and finished 30th overall, sophomore Nick McFarland who finished 33rd with a time of 16:25.2, junior Tom Jozwiak who finished 35th overall and ran for a time of 16:28.0, sophomore David Saporito who finished 45th and ran for a time of 16:39.1, and junior Caleb Hess, who finished 68th with a time of 17:23.0.
For the Eagles, this was the last opportunity to straighten things up before they head to the Mid-American Conference Championship on October 29th in Kent, Ohio. Eastern Michigan will be competing for their seventh consecutive Mid-American Conference title.
