01049 -- EMU Echo Editor Endowed Scholarship:  Provides financial support for the current EMU Echo Editor.

02414 -- Scott Stephenson Eastern Echo Scholarship:  This expendable scholarship is for the benefit of student(s) in the School of Communication, Media & Theater Arts in the College of Arts & Sciences.  It will be awarded to a full or part-time junior or senior EMU student majoring in journalism and working for the Eastern Echo.  The student should be working to self-finance their education and not be eligible for need-based grants.

00825 -- Student Media Development:  Provides support for the Student Media program.

Cherish your Krown - Dec. 5

At Eastern Michigan University this week, sorority Alpha Kappa Alpha and student club N.A.P.S. are joining forces to teach EMU students some tips and tricks on how to nourish and maintain healthy natural hair. Hosts of the event said that attendees should bring three of their favorite hair products or tools with them.

This event runs from 6-8 p.m. in Student Center Room 310B.

WRC self care packages - Dec. 7

Stop by the Women’s Resource Center table on the Student Center first floor from 3-5 p.m. to spin a raffle wheel for a chance to win a self-care item and snack bag.

Finals Study Tables - Dec. 8

Join NAACP,  EMU Africology and African-American Studies, and EMU Black Student Union for a finals study table with light refreshment provided. This event runs from 5-8 p.m. in Pray-Harrold Room 213.

Ballet Coppélia - Dec. 8

Join the annual collaboration of EMU’s dance department and symphony orchestra in an abridged performance of Delibes's "Coppélia." Learn more about this event in our featured story. The performance will run from 7-8:20 p.m. in Pease Auditorium. This is an LBC approved event.

Handmade Market at Bridge Community Café - Dec. 9 & 10

Celebrating one year since the local business’ opening, Bridge Community Café is hosting a market offering jewelry, crystals, and other handmade goods from ten different vendors. The event runs from 6-9 p.m. on Dec. 9 and 11 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Dec. 10.

Peter and the Starcatcher - Dec. 9 -11

Based upon a best-selling novel, this Tony award-winning musical explores the origin story of Peter Pan. The play runs from 7-9:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday and 2-4:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Legacy Theatre. This is an LBC approved event.

A Very Merry Keystone Ugly Sweater Party - Dec.10

DJ DLorean will be spinning holiday tunes at Keystone Bar and Arcade from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. Wear your ugliest of sweaters or dress as your favorite holiday character and have the chance to earn a gift card.

Holiday Candlelight Concert - Dec. 10 & 11

EMU’s Holiday Candlelight Concert is a collaboration of the community through holiday music. This event runs at various times throughout the weekend at Pease Auditorium. Learn more about this event in our featured story. This is an LBC approved event.

Free Book Swap - Dec. 11

Bring some books to share and find some books you like at this free swap. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Bridge Community Café.
