Eastern Michigan volleyball suffers third straight defeat, swept by MAC-leading Ball State 3-0

The first leg of the final homestand of 2025 for the Eastern Michigan University women’s volleyball team did not go to plan Thursday, Nov. 6, 2025. The Eagles were swept by the Ball State University Cardinals, 3-0.

This result clinched the Cardinals at least a share of the Mid-American Conference title at season’s end. With the win, Ball State advanced their record to 18-9 (14-1 MAC), while Eastern Michigan fell to 12-16 (4-11 MAC).

Despite taking early leads in each of the final two sets, the green and white struggled to put away the current conference-leading squad. Ball State orchestrated multiple runs throughout the middle to late portions of the second and third sets, prevailing in the respective stanzas 25-14 and 25-21 after winning the opening set 25-17.
