Late Night Breakfast at the Commons

The Commons offered a late-night breakfast service on Thursday, December 11, 2025, for students at Eastern Michigan University in honor of finals week. The breakfast items served consisted of common breakfast offerings such as egg sandwiches, sausages, waffles, and other similar items. The Warm Up Wednesdays booth is held every Wednesday during December and January in the Eastern Michigan University Student Center by the Office of Access and Opportunity. Any student is encouraged to stop by and grab a hat, a scarf, and a glass of hot cocoa. EMU Opera Workshop: Love and Intrigue Through the Ages

The EMU Opera Workshop presented a program of scenes titled "Love and Intrigue Through the Ages" on Sunday, Nov. 23 2025 in Alexander Recital Hall. The program featured opera, operetta, and musical theatre works spanning from Mozart, to Rodgers and Hammerstein. Thankful To Go: Drive-Thru Thanksgiving Meals

Thankful To Go is a donation drive-thru that allows families to pick up food items for their Thanksgiving Meals. Hosted by Eastern Michigan University and Chartwells Higher Education, volunteers helped give out food to over 1,000 families. This was made possible through sponsors such as the Ann Arbor Community Foundation, James Smith and Connie Ruhl-Smith, DTE, Eastern Michigan University Credit Union and Marriott Ann Arbor Ypsilanti Eagle Crest. Big Love

EMU Theatre's production of Big Love written by Charles L. Mee ran in the Judy Sturgis Hill Legacy Theatre from Nov. 20 to Nov. 23, 2025. This production was directed by Jennifer Felts with the help of a full cast and crew of students and professors that brought it to life. This dark comedy tackled themes of feminism, gender roles and independence as 50 brides seek refuge from their grooms with a family at a coastal Italian villa. (Gallery by Max Taylor)

Found Family Feast

November 19

Held in Rackham 105 on Nov. 18, 2025, the Found Family Feast event included various Thanksgiving foods and featured a demo on how to make cranberry sauce from scratch. Alex Nitsche, a Bachelor's in Social Work intern, hosted the event and invited volunteers to assist him in the demo. Nitsche also guided the group in a collaborative drawing exercise in which participants started their own drawings and passed them to another person after a minute. Emily Bryson, a graduate assistant at Swoop's Pantry, concluded the event by leading a discussion on the importance of found family and what it can mean for those who may not have a great relationship with their family. Eastern Outfitters, set to replace the former Eastern Michigan University Bookstore, opened Monday, Nov. 17, 2025, in the EMU Student Center. The store features EMU merchandise, including clothing items, mugs and water bottles, as well as non-EMU branded school supplies and an eCampus textbook pickup and drop-off location. A ramen bar was held by the South East Asian Student Alliance serving as a fundraiser for survivors of Typhoon Tino in the Philippines. The event included a bar with ramen and many toppings to choose from, a movie, and a fundraising table where people could buy goods in support for the cause. AMP! and Pokito Productions came together on Tuesday, Nov. 4 2025 to host WonderFest, an event celebrating student artists and projects in the Student Center ballroom. An artist alley featured multiple artists selling original creations, and others showed off multimedia projects.
