Travis Scott has been in the limelight for the past week over the Astroworld Music Festival debacle that took place on Nov. 5, and my heart goes out to the people that were there. This article will strictly be looking at the two songs that Travis Scott dropped before Astroworld 2021, and my feelings about the songs have no relation to my feelings of the events at Astroworld.
Three years ago I took my first step on Eastern Michigan University as a freshman, nervous to start my college experience. I roomed in Best Hall, and didn’t know what to expect or how to get involved on campus. In the three years since that day, I have become involved with The Eastern Echo, intramural sports, the REC/IM, and more. If you’re unsure about what to expect or looking for some tips to conquer your freshman year, then look no further than this article. Here are five ways to stay on top of your freshman year and come out of it on top.
Whether you’re an incoming freshman or a seasoned veteran at Eastern Michigan University, there are always new places to check out around campus that will make your experience special. There are stories for every building, like the supposedly haunted Starkweather Hall or the brand new science complex! Below are some of my favorite places to check out during your time at EMU, brought to you by a senior that has seen a thing or two.

The 2021 NFL Draft was held earlier this month in Cleveland, Ohio and featured some of the most highly touted prospects in recent history. One of those prospects was offensive lineman Penei Sewell, who the Lions selected with their seventh overall pick. This pick, along with many others the Lions used in this draft, has put them in a solid position to rebuild over the next two seasons. I’ve assigned letter grades to each pick, and have provided a quick breakdown of each player the Lions selected in the 2021 NFL Draft.

In my two year tenure at The Echo, I have written far too many articles bashing Detroit sports and crying about how all they do is lose. While it is true that Detroit doesn’t have any majorly good sports teams currently, they are all looking to be on the upswing. This is most true with the Pistons, a team that hasn’t seen a playoff series win since 2008.
Luke and Caleb unpack a disappointing showing from Michigan Basketball against UCLA. Listen to hear their thoughts on the squad's performance, what they could have done to improve, and what the future could hold for the team. They also preview the Final Four and crown a way-to-early champion.
ESPN commentator and gymnastics specialist Ashlee Buhler shares how she got her gig with ESPN, who the standout team members are on the EMU gymnastics team, and what to pay attention to as the team moves on to regionals. Also hear Caleb sing a bit of "Take Me Home, Country Roads.”
If you’ve been following this year's NCAA March Madness Tournament, then you know that there has been no shortage of upsets. Teams like Illinois, Kansas, and Ohio State have all fallen to low seeded opponents, and now the Sweet Sixteen looks very bizarre. My bracket, along with many others, is absolutely toast, so I wanted to start over fresh at the Sweet Sixteen. These are my picks to move on to the Elite Eight.
You already know what time it is! Caleb walks through his March Madness bracket. Tweet us and let us know your picks compare!
