02414 -- Scott Stephenson Eastern Echo Scholarship:  This expendable scholarship is for the benefit of student(s) in the School of Communication, Media & Theater Arts in the College of Arts & Sciences.  It will be awarded to a full or part-time junior or senior EMU student majoring in journalism and working for the Eastern Echo.  The student should be working to self-finance their education and not be eligible for need-based grants.

00825 -- Student Media Development:  Provides support for the Student Media program.

More than 50 crimes involving sexual assault, theft, burglary, violence, vandalism, and harassments were reported on EMU’s campus within the first two months of the 2017 fall semester, according to the daily crime log.

Parking pass prices upset students

Within the last year, the cost of Eastern Michigan University parking passes has increased by five dollars, making it $155 for commuter and residential hall students. Five dollars may not be a big difference to some, but it’s a huge difference compared to the prices parking passes used to have within the past few years.

EMU women's swim and dive falls second to Akron in MAC

Seven members of the Eastern Michigan University women's swimming and diving team qualified in the prelims session of the MAC Championships Saturday, Feb. 25, in Oxford, Ohio. The championship then ended with Akron in the lead, while EMU fell second with a total of 600 points.

The EMUs men's swim and dive team ended their dual competition with a victory against Miami University on Sat. Feb. 4, at Jones Natatorium. Emu won 10 out of the 16 events, ending with a 188.5 to 110.5 victory.
