Last year, Eastern Michigan University endured racist graffiti targeting a large population of our student body. The unity mural is a creative, positive response to this bigoted, negative attack.

The successful sovereignty of Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua, Costa Rica and Mexico were honored at this event. The Youth Action Committee hosted its 4th Annual Bake Sale on Saturday, May 14 at the Ann Arbor Skate Park. Proceeds of this bake sale go towards costs of hosting visiting professional skateboarders. In the future, a skate clinic for children will be held.

Drew Saunders, journalism major at Eastern Michigan University, has written and published his very own novel, Hasan. Hasan is a fictional story of a 15-year-old boy braving the difficulties of the Middle East’s Civil War by himself and whilst caring for his younger siblings. The story illustrates Hasan’s journey of trying to leave the war-corrupted country in his horizons.
