It was a weekend of split squads and shattered records for the Eastern Michigan University track and field programs as they dominated two separate invites across the Midwest. From the high-stakes atmosphere of the Meyo Invitational at the University of Notre Dame to the grueling multi-events at the Jet’s Pizza Invitational in Saginaw, Michigan, the Eagles proved their depth, walking away with seven personal bests and three marks that rewrote the program's all-time top-10 lists.

Freshman guard Gregory Lawson II is proving he belongs on the big stage after a career-high 20-point performance against the University of Massachusetts on Jan. 31, 2026. The Eastern Michigan University gymnastics team continued its 2025 campaign with a resounding home victory on Thursday, Feb. 29, 2026, in Ypsilanti, Mich. Facing Wilberforce University for the first time in program history, the Eagles delivered a dominant performance, securing a 191.575–155.025 win. This matchup not only marked the first meeting between the two schools but also established a significant 36.550-point margin of victory that now stands as the benchmark for this burgeoning rivalry.
