Eastern Michigan University is elevating its fall sports season by launching a new custom beer, "Water Tower Power," in collaboration with Detroit’s Eastern Market Brewing Co. (EMBC). This partnership celebrates EMU’s rich traditions and deep connection to the Ypsilanti community. It offers fans a new way to show their pride while enjoying a crisp, clean American lager at sporting events.
After two weeks on the road, the Eastern Michigan University football team is eager to kick off its first home game of the 2024 season against Jacksonville State at the newly renovated Crosby Field.
On Sept. 18, there will be a free training for all EMU students and employees on how to use naloxone medication, better known under the brand name Narcan, which is used to help reverse opioid overdoses.Narcan has been available on campus since April, 2024. The medication is located in AED boxes found around various buildings and places around campus. This is not the first of the trainings on the use of Narcan.“We have done it at least ten times now, and I know that there are several sessions to continue going on this fall,” Frank Schaller, associate director for undergraduate nursing studies and associate professor, said.
As the 2024 football season unfolds, Eastern Michigan University's Jesús Gómez is making headlines with a standout performance that has captivated fans and earned him a place in the Mid-American Conference spotlight.
