Eagles lose to Kent, then do wind sprints

After a 5-0 loss to Kent State on Sunday, the Eastern Michigan Eagles lined up on the far corner of Oestrike Stadium and began sprinting back-and-forth, a clear indicator the defeat wasn’t exactly an ordinary loss.

Baseball wins two

The Eastern Michigan University Eagles hoped for a sweep over Bowling Green State University over the weekend in their three-game set but had to settle for two after a 4-3 loss Sunday. EMU (12-16, 4-2) scored in the fourth when Wally Gerbus hit a sacrifice bunt to drive in Ken Battison.

The Eastern Michigan University baseball team traveled to Morgantown, W.Va., over the weekend to compete against the Mountaineers in a four-game set. The first game Friday afternoon saw WVU win 4-0 at Hawley Field.
