The Eastern Echo shares its own ghost story

·

Gather ‘round the metaphorical campfire and I’ll tell you a story, alright? Eastern Michigan University has its share of creepy legends, like how Starkweather Hall is supposedly haunted by Mary Starkweather and Jones and Goddard have some thing about a faceless janitor or something. But I’m willing to bet you’ve never heard of the Echo ghost.

‘Killer’ themes give horror movies their scream factor

·

There are several types of horror films. There are the ones that you forget and confuse with others of the genre, and the ones that you remember. Then there are the ones that make you uneasy when you go to sleep that night or have you watching through your fingers. Ever since I was a little kid, I have been enchanted by modeling clay. I’ve always enjoyed working with the soft, squeezable texture and the possibility to make anything with a few shapes. A quick glance at the jewelry racks at stores like Icing and Claire’s reveals that cute and soft clay-molded critters and shapes are not just for preschoolers.

Detroit rapper Rizzy fails to impress

·

Rizzy is an upstart, an enterprising rapper who hails from Detroit. He writes, sings, raps and produces. I won’t lie – he has skills, but if he’s looking to get a deal based off of the strength of these particular songs, it might be time to find another line of work.
