Wolverines bounce back in historic fashion with a 63-47 win

Confidence is what redshirt junior quarterback Devin Gardner and senior wide receiver Jeremy Gallon showed on Saturday as they both had career days in the University of Michigan Wolverines’ 63-47 win against the Indiana University Hoosiers.

The EMU football team carried the jersey of Demarius Reed during their procession into Rynearson Stadium before their game against Ohio.

Eagles let game against Ohio slip away in second half

EMU student athlete found dead

Eastern Michigan University student athlete Demarius Reed was found dead today at 7:15 a.m. at the University Green apartment complex, located at 700 block of West Clark Road. The investigation is being treated as a homicide.

Disputed overtime goal leads to loss vs. Miami

A controversial goal in double overtime spelled doom for the Eastern Michigan University soccer team, as they were bested by the Miami University RedHawks 1-0 at Scicluna Field. Miami senior midfielder Kayla Zakrzewski found the net with 1:18 remaining in the second overtime to give them the victory.

Everson acts as traditional leader in pool

Women’s volleyball team falls in four sets

The Eastern Michigan University women’s volleyball team couldn’t pull off the upset against No. 18 Ohio University Saturday night at the Convocation Center as they fell in four sets (25-23, 25-7, 21-25, 25-14). No. 18 Ohio (15-3, 5-1 MAC) took the match three sets to one over Eastern Michigan (11-10, 1-5 MAC).

Heather Lyke is the first woman in EMU’s history to be full-time Director of Intercollegiate Athletics.

Week in and week out over the last couple of seasons, fans have watched the sun set on most Saturdays with Eastern Michigan University football being embarrassed by schools in the Mid-American Conference and teams from other leagues such as the Big Ten Conference and American Athletic Conference. EMU football blown out by Army, 50-25

Army’s triple-option offense took over in the second half Saturday afternoon against Eastern Michigan University in a 50-25 victory at Michie Stadium in West Point, N.Y. EMU (1-5, 0-2 Mid-American Conference) lost its fifth consecutive game, letting up at least 42 points for the third consecutive week.

Jones brings high energy to bear in volleyball
