Wrestling loses to Golden Eagles

After the tough loss against Michigan State University at home, the Eastern Michigan University men’s wrestling team went on the road in the hopes of securing a win against the Clarion University Golden Eagles in their second dual meet of the season.


Women's basketball falls to Terriers 66-55

The Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team’s late second-half comeback fell short as they lost to the Boston University Terriers 66-55 at the Convocation Center Friday.


Eagles lose to NIU, finish with 2-10 record

A cold day at Rynearson Stadium turned even colder for the Eastern Michigan University Eagles when they fell to Mid-American Conference powerhouse Northern Illinois University Huskies 49-7 in the regular season finale.




Senior earns lightweight title at event

Dominance was the key word on Nov. 10 as Eastern Michigan University’s Mixed Martial Arts squad left their mark in Jackson, Mich. The EMU team dominated the Mad Men MMA Promotions event Downtown Beatdown. The team went 5-1. Senior Greg Calvert captured the lightweight title, and EMU’s first ever female competitor Lauren Foley successfully defended her Flyweight Championship.



James Still let go due to legal issues

Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball player James Still, a junior, was dismissed from the team Nov. 16. Still and a fellow Providence College teammate were arrested in April 2010 for a felony count of assault while attending the Rhode Island Catholic and Dominican College.

Eagles football earns second win at WMU

The Eastern Michigan University Eagles (2-9 overall, 1-6 Mid-American Conference) get to keep the Michigan MAC football trophy after a 29-23 victory over the Western Michigan Broncos (4-8 overall, 2-6 MAC) Saturday in Kalamazoo, Mich.


Harris thankful for family, opportunities

Thanksgiving is a week away: The time for seeing family, reminiscing on the things we are grateful for and eating many different kinds of food. Jamell Harris, number 32 on the Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball team, said he’s definitely going to enjoy the day.

Football team anticipates MAC trophy again

After a tough loss to the Central Michigan University Chippewas, the Eastern Michigan University football team, 1-9 overall and 0-6 Mid-American Conference, will head over to Kalamazoo Nov. 17 to face their in-state rival the Western Michigan University Broncos, 4-7 overall and 2-5 MAC.

Men’s basketball beats Rochester, falls to Gamecocks

The Eastern Michigan University men’s basketball team opened the inaugural Ice Man Classic Nov. 9 with a 66-52 victory over the Rochester College Warriors. The Eagles then faced a 61-54 loss to the Jacksonville State University Gamecocks Nov. 11.


Women’s basketball kicks off season with win

The Eastern Michigan University women’s basketball team kicked off their 2012-13 campaign Nov. 11 with a come from behind victory over Northeastern University Huskies by a score of 50-47 at the Convocation Center.

Eagles lose in straight set to BSU

The Eastern Michigan University women’s volleyball team lost a tough straight set match (23-25, 22-25, 28-30) to the Ball State University Cardinals Nov. 9. The loss brings their record to 17-14 (7-8 Mid-American Conference).
