Internationally Renowned Scholar & Morris Chair Recipient, Jerlando Jackson to speak at EMU Jerlando Jackson is helping lead an extensive project at Eastern Michigan University aimed at understanding and improving the experience of Black males on campus.



EMU Wellness Center hosted Healthy Minds Jeopardy

The Eastern Michigan University Wellness center hosted the “Healthy Minds Jeopardy hour” in the Student Center Friday. Energies were high among students as they participated in a Jeopardy game immediately following a lecture on health and wellness on campus, substance abuse and mental illness.

Seena Skelton will close the Porter Chair Lecture series

Seena Skelton will be speaking at Eastern Michigan University’s Student Center. Skelton will be speaking on the topic of “Institutionalizing Cultural Knowledge: A process for engaging in critical reflection on policy.” Skelton works for the regional Equity Assistance Center, located at Indiana University.

2015 football season schedule preview

As spring workouts begin for Eastern Michigan University’s football team, head coach Chris Creighton and his team, can now start the process of game-planning officially with the schedule released for the upcoming season. For the third straight season, EMU opens up at home, welcoming in Old Dominion Sept.





WRC explores women during the civil rights movement

Eastern Michigan University students learned the roles of women in the civil rights movement as part of the “Intersections” series at the Student Center Thursday. Women’s Resource Center’s Intersections speaker series explores different identities, and looks at how they relate to each other.
