CSCAA Championships: Eagles close season with program records in Florida

The Eastern Michigan University swim team concluded their 2025-26 season with a 27th-place finish at the CSCAA National Invitational Championships in Ocala, Florida. Highlighted by Nehir Oz’s program top-10 performance and several personal bests, the Eagles showcased their depth against a competitive national field.

Eagles host the best of the region: A recap of the NCAA Zone C Diving Championships

Eastern Michigan University recently served as the epicenter for elite collegiate diving, hosting the three-day NCAA Zone C Championships at the Jones Natatorium from March 9–11, 2026. Featured Eagles Rose Kendrick and Meg Lupa delivered competitive performances against a deep field of athletes representing premier programs from across the Midwest.

Splash zone: Eastern Michigan divers and swimmers leave their mark on MAC

The Eastern Michigan University swim and dive programs concluded their 2026 Mid-American Conference Championships with a sixth-place finish, marked by several program top-10 performances and a major individual award. Freshman Rose Kendrick headlined the final day of competition as she was named the MAC Freshman Diver of the Year, while teammates Nina LaRosa and Marlee Christie etched their names deeper into the school’s record books.

Senior day spotlight: Kudo, Ulmer and Migliori celebrated at Jones Natatorium

Eastern Michigan University’s annual Senior Day Extravaganza on Feb. 7, 2026, blended spirited competition with celebration as the swim and dive programs honored the class of 2026. Seniors Ali Kudo, Sydney Ulmer and Cate Migliori were recognized for their combined athletic achievements, academic excellence and leadership, leaving a lasting legacy as the Eagles prepare to carry their momentum into the postseason.

The first week of December features several significant non-conference challenges and multi-day competitions for Eastern Michigan University Athletics, highlighting both basketball teams, women's swimming & diving and track & field.






Peter Linn

EMU swimming and diving coach retires

Peter Linn will be relieving his coaching duties at EMU, effective August 16. Linn had the third-longest career of any athletics coach in school history, behind Bob Parks and Steve Wilce. EMU athletics announced that there will be a national search for the next, and ninth head coach of the women's swimming program.

EMU Swim: Reflection on a Perfect Season

 The Eastern Michigan University women’s swim and dive team finished its dual meet season with a win over Albion College on Feb. 1. The win ensured that the team would finish with an undefeated record in dual meets for the season, going 8-0.

The Eastern Michigan University swimming and diving team had an all-around impressive performance in route to 152-74 over Division III school Albion College Friday night at Jones Natatorium.

EMU women's swim and dive finish championships and seasons undefeated

The Eastern Michigan women's swimming and diving team completed two days of competition at the NCAA Championships Friday until Saturday, March 17-18 in Indianapolis. On the first day, Sophomore Delaney Duncan placed 29 with a time of 1:00.58 in the 100 Breaststroke, while senior Alexis Mitcheltree placed 38 in the 100 Backstroke.

EMU mens and women's dive team completes NCAA Zone Championships

The Eastern Michigan University men's and women's diving teams headed to the Counsilman-Billingsley Aquatic Center in Bloomington, Indiana for the NCAA Zone Championships over the weekend, March 9-11. Freshman Brielle Johnston led the men's and women's diving team on the first day of championships, March 9.

EMU men's swim wins MAC Championship number 34

After The Eastern Michigan University men's swimming and diving team turned in a dominant preliminary performance at the 2017 Mid-American Conference Championships, Saturday, March 4, 13 members qualified for the championship heats.  The qualified members were Freshman Matan Segal who posted the top time in prelims, senior Cole Bateman, sophomore Tosh Kawaguchi, Sophomore Ricky Perez also made the cut for the championship heat, turning in the seventh-ranked prelims time. In addition, sophomore Jake Tyson touched in with one of the top prelim times to earn a lane in the championship heat of the 100 Freestyle.

Two Eagles qualified for NCAA Championships

After a successful second place finish in the MAC Championships, senior Alexis Mitcheltree and sophomore Delaney Duncan were named NCAA qualifiers on March 1.  The NCAA's announced that Duncan will compete in the national meet for the second time, while Mitcheltree qualifies for the first time in her career. This news marks the first time EMU has had multiple swimmers earn trips to the NCAA Championships in program history. Duncan qualified in the 100 Breaststroke.
