Eastern students react to basketball's NCAA violations

Eastern Michigan University reported its women’s basketball program to the NCAA on Friday, Sept. 24 due to violations of exceeding the limits on practice time, improper coach involvement in voluntary practices and two individual violations regarding prospective student athletes participating in organized workouts.

LED signs light up high-traffic areas

Eastern Michigan University is currently installing four new LCD and LED displays in high-traffic locations to communicate emergency and university messages to students, visitors and faculty. Students will also be able to advertise upcoming events relating to their student organizations, sororities and fraternities so students can view these events while walking or driving to class.

Red Cross needs blood donations

The American Red Cross blood drive is coming to Eastern Michigan University this Sept 21-23. The blood drive will be held between the hours of noon and 6 at the Student Center in room 300. Blood supplies in Southeastern Michigan are at emergency low levels this year.
