High school students GEAR UP

A group of approximately 50 seniors from River Rouge High School will be visiting Eastern Michigan University Thursday with help from the Holman Success Center’s GEAR UP program: Gaining Early Awareness and Readiness for Undergraduate Programs.

Food assistance program out of reach for MI students

The Department of Human Services has announced, as of April, college students around the state of Michigan will no longer be able to access the food assistance program. “Honestly, once a student leaves their parent’s house to go to college they hit below poverty,” Eastern Michigan University student Thomas Love said.
