Zombie apocalypse strikes campus

At 5 p.m. Saturday University Park became ground zero for the living dead. Fortunately a group of human students banded together to keep alive the hope that mankind will endure this impending zombie apocalypse. What is it about zombies that have allowed them to increasingly capture the hearts and imagination of the general public? They have infiltrated classic literature.

Ypsilanti hears first lady's call for fitness

For some, sculpting the perfect beach body is priority number one when it comes to summer prerogatives. For others, curling 16-ounce Miller Lite tallboys by the pool passes as an effective exercise plan. However, many Ypsilanti residents are putting in an extra effort to take a recently launched weight-loss campaign to heart and plan to combat obesity by keeping themselves fit and energized over the course of those lazy summer days.
